This is a single cask release from independent bottler Signatory Vintage Whisky Co. Distilled 2007-04-23, matured in a 1st fill ex-sherry hogshead (cask #900178) and bottled 2018-11-08. The outturn was 306 bottles. Released exclusively for the German market.

Nose: Juicy red berries and fresh summer fruits. Then as a sweet and rich base we have the dried fruits and warm, exotic spices. With time also clearer notes of dark chocolate, plums and figs.

Taste: Very much full bodied. Again the rich and juicy red berries. Grapes, figs and plums. White pepper and dark chocolate. Really potent stuff!

Finish: Long finish. More spices - hotter and more peppery now. Stewed fruits now, as well as rich and sweet jam. Then hints of nuts and leather as the finish becomes rather dry.

Comment: A great GlenAllachie. Not a typical one though, as this cask masks much of the distillery character, but what a great cask it is!
