Fary Lochan Distillery Edition Batch #6, 6 YO, 47.2 %

Initially matured for three years and three months in a single 1st fill ex-bourbon barrel, then finished for two years and 9 months in a single 1st fill ex-Moscatel wine cask. Released for sale 2022-06-01. It was distilled 2016-03-14 and bottled 2022-04-06.

You can still get 20 cl bottles of this whisky from the distillery online at DKK 295.

Nose: Vanilla, toasted oak and memories of a dunnage warehouse. A Nordic forest just after a heavy summer rain fall. Toasted oak and sun warmed sand. Marshmallows warm and melting.

Taste: Full bodied with lots of fruits and spices. Figs, plums, and mango - but with very little sweetness. White pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Finish: Medium long finish. Rich white wine notes and juicy orchard fruits. No spiciness left now. Dry-ish in style. Dry hay in the end.
