This is the oldest entry in the Distillery Select range launched by Dalmore last Autumn. This whisky was initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then received a full four year finish in ex-Calvados casks from House of Drouin, France. Limited to 383 bottles.

Nose: Bursting with dried fruits and an abundance of red berries, the nose is vivid and expressive from the start. As it opens, refined layers of leather, cigar box, and soft incense emerge, adding depth and sophistication. Earthy vanilla, hints of ginger, and a touch of toffee round it out as further time passes.

Taste: Full bodied and packed with intensity. This is a rich, concentrated dram with a creamy, almost waxy texture. Red berries dominate the flavor profile, lending it a wine-like elegance. Underneath, mellow spices and gentle oaky astringency gradually unfold into a lush, juicy sherry character.

Finish: Long and elegant. The complexity lingers, and the transition is seamless. A smooth, drying glide carries notes of exotic spices and eucalyptus through to the final fade.
