Here is another release in the Casks of Scotland series by independent bottler A.D. Rattray product. The Cask Speyside 10 YO First Edition has been matured in bourbon casks, and that’s about all I know.

Nose: Apples and pears. Lemon, lime and vanilla. Light notes of fresh herbs, cut grass and hay. This is fresh. A late Spring / early Summer type whisky - perfect timing in other words.

Taste: Full bodied and fresh on the palate. Closely matches the nose - it is fresh, it is fruity, and somewhat green. There’s a light sprinkling of spices as well, adding more depth. Creamy and malty in character.

Finish: Medium long finish. Lighter, sweeter and more floral towards the end.

Comment: A fine dram!
