Here is an old single grain whisky from closed Lowland distillery Carsebridge. This is a relase from Swedish independent bottler Svenska Eldvatten. The Carsebridge 1974 Wee Batch was distilled on 1974-03-26, matured in an unspecified cask, and bottled in February 2018. The total outturn was a massive 90 bottles.

There might be a couple of bottles left in Norway at NOK 2690 (10460901).

Nose: Mild chocolate. Vanilla and soft oakiness. Dusty attic. Red berries in the background - a dash of rowan berries actually. This is old and refined. More berries on the nose with time.

Taste: Medium to full body. Fizzy and chewy in character. Mild spices, ginger and white pepper mostly. Orchard fruits and vanilla. Creamy.

FInish: Long finish. Creaminess now more like oiliness. Vanilla, nuts and caramel. Some oakiness but not much.

Comment: Old, but not yet tired. Fruity, but restrained. Creamy and light. I approve.
