The Caol Ila 2012 8 YO Concept 8 Release 2 goes on sale in Norway tomorrow at NOK 722 (14543401).

Nose: Smoky chocolate, driftwood bonfire and medicinal notes. Black pepper and vanilla. Peaty and malty in style.

Taste: Medium body and sweetness. Very much a chocolate dominated palate as well. Chocolate with a grassy green edge to it. Vanilla and red apples. Toasted oak, and hints of peat.

Finish: Medium long. Peatier now, and a little more peppery. Hints of citrus. Medicinal notes and green herbs in the end.

Comment: This certainly hit the spot!
