Nose: A bit shy at first. Fudge and mild herbal notes. Where it not for the missing notes of grapes this could have been a cognac from what the nose tells me. Softly earthy and dusty as well with time - I guess that makes it sandy?!
Taste: Rich and full bodied. Big, green giant. Herbal not floral. Assorted spices. Then summer fruits coming through.
Finish: Medium to long finish. More fruity now - banana, mango, apple and pineapple. SOft spices in the background. The greenery is almost gone.
Comment: Wonderful Irish whiskey!
