This is a classic bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. The distillery has previously been known under the names Old Fire Copper (O.F.C) Distillery and George T. Stagg Distillery. The distillery is today owned by the Sazerac Company.

The product Buffalo Trace was introduced in 1999. The distillery produces a lot of bourbon under different brand names such as Col. E. H. Taylor, Eagle Rare, George T. Stagg, Sazerac, Thomas H. Handy, W. L. Weller etc.

Nose: Dried fruits, caramel, coconut and mild perfume. I also detect citrus in the form of ripe oranges and a touch of lime zest. It is deeply sweet. With time I get heaps of vanilla sugar!

Taste: Medium body and sweetness. Mild caramel. A touch of orange juice over toasted oak.

Finish: Medium to short finish. Very mild and delicate.

Comment: A fine and solid bourbon.
