Matured in bourbon barrels and then finished in deeply toasted virgin American oak casks.

Nose: Rich and malty with distinct notes of citrus at first - oranges and lime. With time there is more vanilla and toasted oak. Something green keeps lurking and teasing in the back. It keeps developing in the glass. After a few minutes another wave arrives, now a bit more spicy with cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.

Taste: Medium body and creamy mouthfeel. Light and medium sweet in character. Toasted oak, caramel and green notes of ripe apples and tomato plant.

Finish: Medium long finish. Vanilla, honey and milk chocolate. Toasted oak for sure. Is that a hint of basil at the end? It is definitely somewhat green.

Comment: A complex and impressive nose, and better than average palate makes for a fine experience.
