Balcones is back in Norway! And we are starting off with their classic edition single malt. The Balcones Texas Single Malt is made using Golden Promise malted barley, and it is matured in American oak casks.

The Balcones Texas Single Malt goes on sale in Norway this Friday at NOK 935 (12801501).

Nose: Rich, deep, and dark. Roasted and aromatic notes. It feels almost like a sherry bomb - but not quite. Love the rich maltiness on the nose. With time also honey. It is so rich.

Taste: Very rich and most definitely full bodied. Caramel sauce, almond paste, oranges, and tempered spiciness. Softly floral.

Finish: Medium long finish. Continues as it startet; rich and creamy in style. Caramel, vanilla, burnt sugar. Something sweet and decadent in the borderlands between floral honey and maple syrup.
