Another fine bottling from Norwegian independent bottler Single Malt Dreams. Distilled April 2009, re-racked into a 1st fill ex-bourbon barrel (cask #9001332) in November 2021. Bottled April 2023, and limited to 228 bottles.

Nose: A fascinating and dynamic opening, peaty and floral honey, lead the charge, quickly followed by green, grassy notes and layered fruitiness. As it breathes, it takes a darker turn with pencil shavings, soot, and those delightfully nostalgic burnt marshmallows.

Taste: Full-bodied and bold. A beautifully integrated mix of peat smoke, ripe fruits, and a solid malty backbone.

Finish: Medium to long finish. The creaminess persists, carrying fruity sweetness and peaty warmth into the distance. Notes of soot, vanilla, and fruity hard candy keep things lively, while oak spice, menthol, and a touch of mint adds further complexity.

Comment: A big and characterful dram.
