1423 S.B.S. Guyana 2003, 17 YO, 59.7 %

A single barrel, cask strength molasses based rum released by 1423. This rum was distilled at the Diamond Distillers, Guyana, and it is a pot still distillate. Possible from the Port Mourant still, but not confirmed. Distilled 2003 and bottled February 2020, and limited to 258 bottles.

The 1423 S.B.S. Guyana 2003 will be available to buy starting tomorrow, at NOK 1734 (13562601).

Nose: Caramel and vanilla. Super delicate. Light fruitiness and simple syrup.

Taste: Wow! My mouth is on fire! Chili, Szechuan pepper! Then tropical fruits.

Finish: Medium to long finish. After a while the fire subsides and the tropical fruits gain more ground. Some ginger and chewing gum in the end.

Comment: Spicy and scrumptious!
